The OSO

Just another day in Bearadise!

OSO (pronounced 0h-so ) means Bear in Spanish, like the bears you may see nearby. This 2 story cabin has a distinctive romantic  mountain style, and  dancing bears are everywhere. It has a full kitchen and a living room/dining room with sat. tv  and a pullout sofa. The bath is beside the master bedroom and has  a little antique  claw foot tub/shower. The ground floor master bedroom is woodsy/romantic, with a cozy queen log bed. Cuddle in with lots of plush pillows and great linens. Up the spiral staircase is the upper bunk room with  a private balcony overlooking the river and forest.

Soak in your large outdoor hot tub on the back deck by the river, where you also have a gas grill for cookouts. Make memories at  the firepit and picnic area by the river! Its quiet and beautiful location will make you want to stay here all summer and is the quietest spot on the property. Enormous ponderosa pines tower overhead.
You will just love the Oso, a romantic retreat for two or more. It shares the front porch with the Encantado, but  has a separate back deck with a privacy screen between .The two cabins can be rented together for larger groups.  Want fun things to do? click on Tours and Enhance my stay top left.

The Pinewood Cabin

The original  Pine log sided cabin was built in the early part of the 20th century. It is now our most popular cabin for couples. It features a bedroom/living area  with a stunning King size aspen log bed that you will sink into in comfort. A satellite TV, and an antique pot bellied wood stove that can burn small logs, and a romantic table set for two complete your Colorado Fantasy retreat.. The cabin is RUSTIC and we have kept it that way for our guests that want to experience the feel of an old log cabin, but with the addition of a wine chiller and mood lighting this will soon be your favorite. When we say rustic, it is, but it has all the modern comforts! It has a small  kitchen and bathroom with shower.

Listen to the sounds of the Big Thompson river on the covered porch, where a wicker  dining table and chairs are there for your outdoor evening meals.Watch the wildlife and birds from the porch swing. Enjoy the night sky from your private hot tub, it sits out on the open deck among the pines and aspen trees. There is also a gas grill on the deck.  A fire pit is located near the river, don't forget the s'mores. You can view interior pictures by clicking on the photo tour link below.

The Alamo

Alamo is the spanish word for the Aspen trees that cover our riverbanks. When we bought this cabin it's profile reminded us of the Alamo in Texas. It was once the home of a spanish priest back in the 1940s, or so the story goes! Now it is a favorite for romantic couples.
The Alamo cabin overlooks the Big Thompson River, and is  under a towering rock cliff, giving you a marvelous view of the river and canyon walls with a firepit right on the river. I would say it is the most private of all inside its walled patio.

The cozy and romantic bedroom has a queen bed and bathroom w/shower. Wrap yourself in our fluffy robes and spa towels and sleep on high quality linens and a comfortable bed.

In the living room  is a sofa/futon, and a small wood burning fireplace, and satellite TV. The little kitchen is just right for preparing your vacation meals and is fully equipped. The bubbling private hot tub is just out the bedroom door on the covered porch facing the river, where you can also enjoy al fresco dining. A walled private courtyard has lovely natural landscaping and old pavers stepping down to the cabin. You can see interior photos by clicking on the photo tour link below.

Willow

You are going to love this cottage done in country chic.  This wee little cottage  is sweet and rustic. .I think the little people lived here once, their magic is still seen in the twinkle lights on the stick pergola over the hottub outside and the  twinkling twig ceiling in the bedroom.  The sound of the river from the bedroom is superb. Lots of outdoor deck space and a green yard make the little cabin feel larger than it is. The front looks like a tent cabin, with the covered pergola and tent swags where again you have twinkle lights everywhere!..

The kitchenette will allow you to cook your vacation meals with the help of a gas grill on the  front deck.  A table for two and umbrella on the front deck are for dining al fresco. There is a  table  and bar stools with umbrella on the deck in back, by your own private hottub.. where you will spend much of your time viewing the cliffs and the river.

The small bedroom is great for togetherness and now has a comfortable plush queen bed!, The adjacent bathroom has a shower.  Compact but complete and well equipped, it has just what you need for the most splended romantic stay!. You can view interior photos by clicking on the photo tour link below.

On cool nights stay warm at the firepit by the river,  where there is a picnic table and a shelter. If you see the little people dancing by the fire just tip your hat and smile!
